The year is slowly but surely coming to an end – time for a look back on 2017. A lot has happened for Kentix in the past year. We have launched new products, improved well-tried classics and established the Kentix Partner Day, an exciting event exclusively for our partners. More products and new projects also mean a heavier workload so we added a few new team members as well. Read about all these things and more in our blog article for the end of the year.

March 2017
The Radio Cabinet Lock enters the market. It offers a simple access solution for the easy rebuilding of merely any IT or distribution cabinet. The battery operation reduces the installation efforts to a minimum. The lithium AA battery has a run time of up to 8 years or 100.000 actuations and is mechanically secured against unauthorized removal.
April 2017
Since April, our LeakageSensor is optionally available with a sensor cable (10m/20m). Small sensors inside the cable sense water ingress at an early stage alongside the entire rope. This offers a flexible and space-saving solution to cover your entire IT room and protect it against damage done by moisture.
June 2017
We have made the access management for our online access control system Kentix DoorLock even better – with the integration of the directory services Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and LDAP. The authorization accounts are now simply imported and synchronized via AD or LDAP. Access authorization can therefore be managed centrally and can be assigned or withdrawn by means of user profiles.
August 2017
Becoming a Kentix Certified Partner offers many exclusive advantages. In order to make this step as easy as possible for our interested partners, we now offer our certified trainings on individual appointments so you will be sure not to miss anything – and on top of that, you will save a lot of time.
September 2017
On September 14, our exclusive Kentix Partner Day 2017 took place – a mix of personal contact, plenty of digitalization and new future-oriented products, home-made gin and wine sensor technology. We are already looking forward to the Kentix Partner Day 2018!
October 2017
In October 2017, we launched the IP Wall Reader with an illuminated touch-pin-pad. It complements our online access system Kentix DoorLock® with a tethered version which allows an easy connection of the tethered and radio-controlled solutions to one central system. The integrated PoE splitter supplies the door lock directly via the reader module with 24VDC so that no additional cables are needed for the power supply.
