We are proud to announce that the Kentix MultiSensor-LAN has won the funkschau Reader’s Choice Award for the IT Product Of The Year 2017 in the category Physical Security. It detects up to 19 physical threats in rooms and racks with just one device and alarms instantly.
On October 12, 2017, we went on our way from Idar-Oberstein where our headquarters is to Munich, Germany. It was a beautiful sunny day and the weather fit our mood just right: We were excited for the Reader’s Choice Awards Ceremony that night because for the first time, our MultiSensor-LAN had been voted one of the Top 3 IT products of the year in the category Physical Security. When we finally arrived in Munich we only had a few short minutes to take a breather at the hotel before we headed to the English Garden where the ceremony would be held in a beautiful location right on the lake.
Kentix MultiSensor-LAN wins in the Physical Security category
After a classy champagne reception and a scrumptious appetizer, the awards ceremony started. Editor-in-chief Stefan Adelmann opened the event and we were anxiously anticipating our category Physical Security. We were especially happy to hear that in contrast to the year before, Kentix had doubled its votes. Finally we were called to receive our trophy for third place. The companies that had reached second and third place have both been established for many years and are internationally operating which showed us that we are capable of keeping up with the Big Ones already.
Relaxed atmosphere during the evening event
After the awards ceremony, the dinner continued. We were served a delicious main course followed by an almost Christmasy dessert with gingerbread taste. Great conversation and good wine made it an enjoyable night altogether.
The next day we went on our way back, bringing our award home safe and sound. We would like to thank the funkschau team for the great event and the readers for their trust and their vote in this year’s Reader’s Choice Awards! We are already looking forward to the next year and hope to be a part of it again.
