“Nothing works without IT – not even in the Bundeswehr”: this is how the management of BWI, the Bundeswehr’s systems house, emphasised the importance of modern, secure, resilient IT in May 2022. Also and especially against the backdrop of the Ukraine war. The Bundeswehr should be digitised in an accelerated, effective and efficient manner, the management continued during the presentation of the award roadmap at the time. Now Kentix GmbH has been awarded a new framework contract.
The contract covers the delivery of components for secure power distribution and environmental monitoring in IT rooms and data centres. The term of the framework agreement is set for four years and totals around eight million euros.
Kentix CEO Thomas Fritz is proud: “We are very pleased to have been awarded the contract as a medium-sized manufacturer with production in Germany. This shows us that we are efficient and competitive compared to global corporations that hardly produce in Europe any more.”
With KentixONE, Kentix has developed one of the most innovative IoT platforms for securing mission-critical infrastructures. KentixONE is used in all Kentix products and is part of the products and solutions to be delivered in the BWI framework contract.
