Kentix expands portfolio for Smart Building Security market
Kentix is responding to the trend toward integrated Smart Building Security concepts and added new features to its portfolio. Besides monitoring tools for the protection of IT infrastructures, Kentix also offers a smart access control system. This access control system, the „Kentix DoorLock“, now has a new function available: Bookings on the door opener automatically trigger an IP camera that records pictures and saves them in the dashboard.
More security with video surveillance
The Kentix DoorLock is completely IT-linkable and can be integrated smoothly into the Kentix portfolio as well as into existing networks. Just in time for the security essen, the world’s leading trade fair for security and fire protection September 27. – 30, 2016), Kentix now introduces a new function of its smart access control system: A video recording when unlocking the door. When someone opens the door with an RFID token, an IP camera is being triggered and takes a sequence of pictures at the same time. These pictures are saved in the dashboard and can be accessed any time via the corresponding logbook entry. Any door in the system can be connected to a camera so that any access can be connected with a video sequence in addition to the personal data. Unauthorized attempts of access are immediately sent to the responsible persons via e-mail and including the camera pictures.
