The new DoorLock-RA4 is an advanced mechatronic IoT system component in the Kentix SmartAccess portfolio that does more than just open and close server and data cabinets. It may look like a handle for IT racks and can also do everything an server cabinet door handle must be able to do. But behind it is a well engineered access control system that can be scaled to an unlimited extent, with intelligent software and an app that also allows access via smartphone and smartwatch. In addition, the mechatronic unit of the robust die-cast plastic handle contains an RFID reader for Mifare-DESFire media and a touch-PIN keyboard. As a so-called lifting or folding handle, it takes up less space when opened compared to conventional swivel handles and is more ergonomic to operate. The integration with all important and open system standards with REST-API, LDAP, SNMP V2/3 is easy and the administration is very comfortable thanks to the integrated web interface. A clearly visible LED bar with additional acoustic feedback makes operation doubly safe. Only one PoE-compatible Ethernet port is required for operation.

Idar-Oberstein, 16.12.2020 +++ Kentix, the specialist for holistic and scalable IoT solutions to protect business-critical infrastructures, releases the SmartPDU as the latest offshoot of its PDU series. Kentix thus offers a scalable all-in-one system solution for seamless monitoring of power, environment with early fire detection and rack closure. As a central control element, the modular PDU takes over the redundant complete monitoring of all important parameters in the server cabinet. Required function extensions can either be mapped via hardware modules or enabled in the software, whereby the concept takes several speech levels into account. In addition to the single PDUs, the series also includes dual variants with 40 U (vertical) or 2 U (horizontal). These offer an all-round security package to meet ISO 27001 requirements, especially for applications in edge computing.

Approximately 1/3 of COVID-19 infected persons show fever symptoms and can be quickly detected by SmartXcan. Hotspots, as they have become known in many companies (especially in the food industry) in recent weeks, can thus be detected and contained at an early stage. The new Kentix SmartXcan provides a fast and reliable body temperature measurement. The operation is intuitive and self-explanatory, the results are reliable and accurate. The measurement is contactless – therefore safe for the user. EU-GDPR-compliant operation is possible without problems.

A EUGDPR-compliant operation is possible due to self measurement. July 2019 +++ KENTIX GmbH, manufacturer of professional Smart Building Security solutions for the physical security of business critical infrastructures, has developed a new sensor for the detection of dust/dirt contamination in technical facilities such as data centers, IT distributors or technical rooms. The small sensor, measuring only 79×44 mm, optically measures dust deposits on a surface. As with other KENTIX expansion sensors, it is connected via RJ45 directly into the KENTIX system socket.
