Research at Kentix

Kentix GmbH is part of several research projects in the fields of security, IoT and digitization.

DREI – Privacy-respectful detection of innate perpetrators

Research project commissioned by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research

Project period: July 2016 – January 2019

The aim of the DREI project is to further develop security information and event management systems so that intruder attacks (insiders) are recognized under legally compliant conditions. The privacy-friendly capture and storage of security events plays a major role here. Disclosing identities and detecting anomalies as needed uncovers innocent activities without violating privacy requirements. Joint research work with the Trier University of Applied Sciences

Kentix and the Trier University of Applied Sciences look back on a long and successful cooperation. Since 2014, research is being conducted jointly in the field of IoT (Internet of Things) and security technology. In addition to project collaboration, Kentix GmbH regularly employs factory students. This offer, which is currently used by 2 students, should be further expanded in the future.
