The demands placed on modern IT infrastructures are constantly increasing – maximum flexibility and high operational reliability are particularly important in data centers. With the new SmartPDU 24/12 C13/CX, Kentix offers a sophisticated further development that meets precisely these requirements.
The new version replaces the previous model SmartPDU 24x C13, 6x C19. It is equipped with 24x C13 and 12x CX connections, i.e. with combined sockets that can accommodate C14, C16, C20 and C22 plugs. This flexible combination means for operators:
- More connection options per unit
- Reduced planning effort with heterogeneous IT hardware
- Simple scaling for future expansions
What is a CX connection?
CX stands for a combination socket into which the plug types IEC C13/C14, IEC C15/C16, IEC C19/C20 and IEC C21/C22 fit. The slots automatically recognize the plug type and ensure a reliable power supply, regardless of the load used. In addition, protection against unintentional removal of the plug is integrated in each slot.
Proven technology, rethought
The 24/12 C13/CX version fits seamlessly into the Kentix SmartPDU series and offers:
- 3-phase connection (32A) for high load distribution
- Integrated RCM function for residual current monitoring (in accordance with DIN EN 62020)
- KentixONE connection for central management and alerting
This combination of flexibility and monitoring is particularly important in data centers, where security, energy efficiency and availability have the highest priority.
