These containers should not only provide optimum protection against physical threats and environmental risks, but also ensure seamless monitoring. The solution had to be flexible and scalable and meet the requirements of EN 50600 certification at all times. Prior1 pursues one goal in the development of its solutions: to operate IT securely, efficiently and sustainably – while protecting what is really important.
Solution
By integrating KentixONE as a central platform, Prior1 was able to implement a comprehensive security solution for your new “IT Container FIX”. KentixONE enables the central control and monitoring of all security-relevant devices and sensors in real time. This provides the operators of the container data center with an overview and full control of all “vital parameters” at all times via a central dashboard – also on the move via the KentixONE app as a mobile control center.

- Access control – SmartAccess
The Kentix IP wall readers ensure strict access control through two-factor authentication. Every access is logged and unauthorized attempts immediately trigger an alarm. All data is stored in KentixONE and can be retrieved at any time. In addition, all accesses can be logged with a short video sequence. - Intrusion alarm system – SmartBurgulary
With KentixONE, access control and sensor technology can be combined to create alarm zones that protect against unauthorized intrusion. These zones can be armed and disarmed both manually via access control and automatically. - Environmental monitoring – SmartMonitoring
Kentix MultiSensors continuously monitor environmental factors such as temperature, humidity and air quality. The integrated 4-factor early fire detection system detects anomalies that indicate critical conditions at an early stage and enables timely action to prevent damage. All external units such as air conditioning and UPS systems are seamlessly integrated and continuously supply their operating statuses. - Power supply – SmartPDU
The Kentix SmartPDUs monitor all current and energy parameters as well as the ambient conditions in the server racks. The integrated residual current measurement (RCM) ensures electrical safety, fire protection and detects creeping device failures. Anomalies are transmitted to KentixONE in real time so that action can be taken as quickly as possible. KentixONE provides efficiency indicators such as PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) at all times and generates an energy report at the end of the month. - Video surveillance – SmartVideo
The video surveillance integrated in KentixONE detects security-relevant events in real time. Recordings can be called up quickly and live images support the assessment of the situation in an emergency.
