RFID Token for Kentix SmartAccess
Kentix transponders and reader systems are based on MIFARE® DESFire® technology (13.56MHz) type EV2 with 2kB memory. MIFARE® DESFire® is accepted and used by many organizations and industries as a secure technology, provided it is configured correctly. KentixONE offers all important security aspects.
The tokens are written with a special Kentix security application as standard, but can also be written with your own security application on request.

What are RFID dual-transponder?
Kentix RFID dual transponders combine two transponder technologies in one medium: MIFARE® DESFire® 2k (13.56MHz) and EM4200 (125kHz). This gives you the option of using two RFID technologies with one medium. Ideal for the integration of legacy or third-party systems.
Integration of existing RFID cards

Kentix uses a sector on the MIFARE® DESFire® EV2 medium to create increased security when using Kentix RFID cards/tokens with an additional readable security application. Kentix is able to make security applications already in use on MIFARE® DESFire® cards usable in Kentix systems in order to avoid a possibly costly replacement of already issued media. This service requires a fee-based analysis of the existing customer cards. This analysis covers the RFID medium and includes an integration proposal.
