With the R₂O (Remote Resilient Observability), SVA GmbH has created an integrated platform that combines out-of-band management, monitoring and physical security into a holistic solution. The idea for the combination was born in November 2024 and was first presented at Cisco Live 2025 in Amsterdam – as a showcase for maximum digital resilience and infrastructure transparency.
Challenge: Combining isolated solutions into an overall system
Many companies today rely on separate systems for monitoring, security and network management. This leads to complex structures, a limited overview and often to information gaps in the event of a fault.
SVA has set itself the task of resolving this separation and developing a solution that:

- enables uniform, user-friendly control of all components.

Solution: Kentix as a key component for physical security and environmental transparency
A central element of the R2O architecture the Kentix IoT and security components, which communicate via the out-of-band management system. This creates a fully integrated interplay of IT, network and environmental monitoring.
The Kentix devices, including MultiSensors, access control systems and energy management solutions, provide precise data on temperature, humidity, movement, energy consumption and access. This data is integrated directly into the via R2O cloud standardized interfaces (API, MQTT, Modbus TCP) and visualized in central dashboards.
Even if the main infrastructure fails, access via the out-of-band network is maintained so that the Kentix systems can still be reached and provide real-time data.This ensures operational reliability even in the event of a fault.
