Monitored area depending on optics with 40° or 90°FOV and height
The Kentix MultiSensor-TI is mainly used for room and system monitoring with 4-factor early fire detection. The great advantage over thermal cameras is that diffused fire gases are also detected in addition to the surface temperature.
Which sensor version (40° or 90° FOV) you choose depends mainly on the mounting height and the application purpose. For 75% of all applications in the area of room system monitoring, the 90° sensor is the right solution. For partial monitoring, the 40° version could be the better choice.
One MultiSensor - many applications
Detect fire hazards in battery and accumulator logistics at an early stage
Detect and report electrical defects in IT/OT racks at an early stage
Early detection of fire hazards in company kitchens and kitchens on floors
MONITORING OF USV-BATTERY ROOMS, BATTERY LOGISTICS
4-Factor Early Fire Detection as an alternative to thermal cameras
he MultiSensor-TI is the latest MultiSensor technology and integrates a 1024px thermal image sensor in addition to various gas sensors for monitoring critical plant conditions and early fire detection.
Compared to thermal imaging cameras, the MultiSensor-TI has the advantage that it complies with data protection regulations and links other sensors with the thermal evaluation. For early fire detection, this means that up to four factors (thermal image, CO, air quality, room temperature) are evaluated for reliable detection. The additional fire gas detection (CO, VOC, CO2) offers very significant advantages for very early fire detection.

A success story: Multisensor prevents expensive fire damage at Paket24 (Artelia)
Open blog articleThe MultiSensor saved us from what was probably major damage and failure. It had detected cells in a UPS that had heated up dangerously at an early stage and triggered an alarm. When we looked, everything initially looked normal - it wasn't until we inspected the back panel that the reason for the alarm became clear. If this problem had gone undetected, it could have resulted in a serious fire. But the CO2 sensor on the Kentix multisensor detected the change in carbon dioxide levels early on, before any damage occurred.
