Kentix MultiSensor technology with thermal camera

The Kentix 4 factor early fire detection - Detect fires before they start

  • 4-factor early fire detection: surface temperature, carbon monoxide (CO), air quality (VOC) and room temperature
  • Integrated 1024px thermal imaging sensor and 8 additional sensors monitor over 20 hazards
  • Easy configuration via integrated KentixONE software
  • Integration into other systems via SNMPv2/3, REST-API and webhooks
  • Cost-effective alternative to expensive thermal imaging cameras

MultiSensor-TI functions at a glance

MultiSensor with Ethernet (PoE) and Thermal-Image
KentixONE LAN (PoE) Radio (BLE) Sysport (TYPE A)
  • Integrated sensors: 9
  • Monitored threats: up to 20
  • 4-factor early fire detection
  • Web server (HTTPS)
  • E-MAIL - SNMP-V2/3 - REST-API
  • LAN-RADIO (BLE) repeater integrated
The MultiSensor-TI is the latest MultiSensor technology with integrated thermal imaging sensor for monitoring critical system conditions and for early fire detection. In addition to pure thermal monitoring, the sensor can also detect the movement of people. Compared to thermal imaging cameras, the sensor has the advantage that it works in compliance with data protection regulations and intelligently links several sensors for early fire detection. For early fire detection, this means that up to four factors (thermal image, CO, air quality, room temperature) are analysed for reliable detection. The MultiSensor monitors up to 20 threats and an area of up to approx. 40m² depending on the ceiling height. It is connected via Ethernet with PoE (Power over Ethernet) and therefore requires no additional cabling. Operation is possible as a stand-alone sensor with integrated KentixONE software (HTTPS) or via a networked KentixONE system with SiteManager. The sensor is mounted on the ceiling using the mounting bracket supplied. Mounting in an IT rack or on the wall with the 19’ bracket (accessory) is also possible as an option.Detection angle: 90° or 40° (depending on type)Integrated sensors for monitoring: Temperature, air humidity, dew point, smouldering fire (CO), air quality, air pressure, movement, acceleration/vibration (G), two external alarm contacts.Alarm notification via MultiSensor (stand-alone): E-mail, SNMP traps (V2/3), web hooks (REsT-API)Alarm notification via SiteManager (central): SMS, PUSH (app)

Monitored area depending on optics with 40° or 90°FOV and height

The Kentix MultiSensor-TI is mainly used for room and system monitoring with 4-factor early fire detection. The great advantage over thermal cameras is that diffused fire gases are also detected in addition to the surface temperature.

Which sensor version (40° or 90° FOV) you choose depends mainly on the mounting height and the application purpose. For 75% of all applications in the area of room system monitoring, the 90° sensor is the right solution. For partial monitoring, the 40° version could be the better choice.

One MultiSensor - many applications

Detect fire hazards in battery and accumulator logistics at an early stage

Detect and report electrical defects in IT/OT racks at an early stage

Early detection of fire hazards in company kitchens and kitchens on floors

MONITORING OF USV-BATTERY ROOMS, BATTERY LOGISTICS

4-Factor Early Fire Detection as an alternative to thermal cameras

he MultiSensor-TI is the latest MultiSensor technology and integrates a 1024px thermal image sensor in addition to various gas sensors for monitoring critical plant conditions and early fire detection.

Compared to thermal imaging cameras, the MultiSensor-TI has the advantage that it complies with data protection regulations and links other sensors with the thermal evaluation. For early fire detection, this means that up to four factors (thermal image, CO, air quality, room temperature) are evaluated for reliable detection. The additional fire gas detection (CO, VOC, CO2) offers very significant advantages for very early fire detection.

A success story: Multisensor prevents expensive fire damage at Paket24 (Artelia)

The MultiSensor saved us from what was probably major damage and failure. It had detected cells in a UPS that had heated up dangerously at an early stage and triggered an alarm. When we looked, everything initially looked normal - it wasn't until we inspected the back panel that the reason for the alarm became clear. If this problem had gone undetected, it could have resulted in a serious fire. But the CO2 sensor on the Kentix multisensor detected the change in carbon dioxide levels early on, before any damage occurred.
